Tobacco Scented Shave Soaps

I may well be a dullard but tobacco to me would be the scent of rolling tobacco ... no tobacco fragrances ever smell like this to me. Even better would be pipe tobacco. Am I missing something? Would Cavendish smell along these lines ... what with the label image including a venerable pipe?
That’s because a lot of tobacco scents are based around the sweeter smell of the tobacco leaf.

Favorite Tobacco scent of mine is Mickey Lee Soapworks Grand Havana. Sadly no longer in production. I have never come across anything similar.
Some of the other Tobacco scents I like are PAA Astra Planeta and Moon Soaps Havana.

A&E Vanille de Tabac is a cologne scent for me, not really a Tobacco scent.

Anyway, you have to make a distinction between a tobacco flower and the scent of the tobacco leaf/cigar etc..
Cherry pipe tobacco is a different category as well.

Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore is a very nice "Tobacco" scented soap. It's more the Tobacco leaf scent with some Vanilla, Amber, Eucalyptus/Menthol.
A ringer for Santa Maria Novella Tobacco Toscana. Good stuff.

Has anyone tried Los Jabones de Joserra Rodrigo de Jerez soap?
Was wondering about the scent, and also the soap base/ performance...

Tabac had tabacco in the base as one of the notes or at least the original version did have..they updated it slightly in 2014.

Original: Alderhydes, Lavender,Neroli, Bergamot, Lemon
Orris root, Jasmine, Rose, Pine, Sandalwood, Carnation
TABACCO LEAF, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Amber, Musk, Oakmoss

2014: Pepper, Petigrain,Lemon, Bergamot, Neroli
Lavender,Chamomile,Geranium. Oak absolute
Clove, Sandawood,Vetiver, Musk, Ambergris

To my nose the soap does have an accord that is very reminiscint of tobacco leaf.

Often forgotten that is. Back in 2016 when I bought Tabac for the first time I got a pre-reformulation EdC and the scent was subtly different to the one sold now.

My opinions on the ones I've tried are:

Tabac: great performance, scent is too old school & carnation dominant, reminds me of Lucien Ferrero Par Amour Por Lui 👍
WK Merchant Of Tobacco: cherry pipe tobacco a la Tom ford Tobacco Oud, but with less tobacco & more chocolate 👎
PAA Cavendish: scent too sweet off the tub, cherry pipe tobacco a la Tom ford Tobacco Oud, sold without lathering 👎
Eufros Tobacco: a very rich chocolate cake & tobacco leaf combo that is interestingly not too sweet, goes great with Slumberhouse Jeke 👍
Stirling Agar: an underrated tobacco leaf & oud combo, one of the best dry tobacco leaf notes IMHO, brings back memories of trips I made to the cigarette factory my father used to work at, no cherries no candies pure masculine goodness 👍

I’ve discovered tobacco scented soaps about a year ago, and so far Signature by A&E/ The Club and Stirling Haverford are both favourites.
Had a sample of A&E Choco Cubano, interesting scent, but to my nose it was mostly gourmand, chocolate and very little (if any...) tobacco.
I really loved the scent of the Semois Valley Shave Soap sold by Karve Shaving Co (got a free sample with my Karve razor), a wonderful sweet and rich tobacco leaf, unfortunately the soap base/ performance wasn’t that great...

I was wondering about Eufros Tobacco, and Highland Springs Soap Company (HSSC) Havana Vieja.... if anyone has tried them, how do they compare to Signature or Haverford?
I have tried HSSC “Havana Vieja”. Absolutely love it. I measure out 1/2 tsp into a lathering bowl for a luxurious 3 pass shave. Whips up into a very nice lather.

All of the soaps recommended seem to be tobacco leaf. Are there any soaps that smell of fresh pipe tobacco! I love that scent!

Umm... All tobacco is made of leafs of different species of the tobacco plant, so that's what gives the difference in scents... Or am i wrong? :shy:

I am confused too. Seems like dried tobacco vs fresh flower or leaf. I love both. But the latter completely predominate so wondering if you can get a pipe tobacco type scent?

The ASW/WSP Old Virginia smells like what my nosebrain remembers as a freshly opened pack of Marlboros. Tbh, it’s probably closing in on twenty years since I’ve opened a package of Marlboros, but I’m pretty sure that’s the scent. Further, and fwiw, to my mind the Old Virginia soap smells nothing like the WSP Tobacco cream. Re: Tabac, I have a puck of the tallow version waiting to be opened. Must remember to break it out one of these days.
