The ENOCH Razor

First shave with the Enoch , it's a keeper , great 3 pass shave , very audible and an excellent smooth finish .
I could feel the blade wanting to bite and was pleased on my choice of a Feather Proguard for the razors initial outing .
Probably too agressive for me as a daily shaver but once in awhile it will be a pleasant change .

Hi Mike
I saw that , early days for me , I will see , as I said I couldn't use it as a daily shaver at the moment , so it will be another 2 or 3 days until I try it again . I am just feeling a little bit more optimistic at the moment .
The Hirams may be another matter .

Mon 20th Jan.

I have remarked on how shallow the Blade retention Lugs/Pegs are on this Razor, so a blade can be displaced during the cap locking phase. I think this may have happened to me after a First good Shave. As a result I may have shaved with a slightly misaligned blade, resulting in poor Shaves and a spoilt blade.
Today I loaded a fresh Proguard blade being very careful to ensure it was locked down correctly on the retention pegs/lugs. The Shave though not the quickest was very smooth and comfortable with a good close all round finish. It would seem that the Enoch Is a good Razor for me provided hat I get a blade loaded properly. I have spoken to Classic Shaving about the problem of the shallow blade retention pegs/lugs.

That's a little disconcerting. :scratchhead:

Sorry to hear that. That could have been handled a bit better. Exchange or a credit perhaps would have been more acceptable. I don't get it.... :meh:
Going through PayPal to try to salvage something. Initially claimed to be sending a new guard but have not done so and have ignored a request since. Too many decent honest vendors out there to bother with this company. Lesson learned!

Send PM to Luke of CS and also to Customer services with Photo, saying not fit for purpose and demand refund.
When I emailed re my Hiram, the reply was they'd send another one out to me. I replied asking for a refund and even offered to return at my expense.
A delayed response was she'd have to speak to her supervisor as they didn't accept returns due to items being of a personal care nature. They try to satisfy customers with a replacement. Mine shipped before a refund could be agreed.

Hirim is next. Enoch is the name of the developer's 2nd son. Oldest son is Oren. Youngest son I believe is Hirim. Original naming convention.

Occam's Razor is brand name and principle from philosophy - less assumptions / speculation equal best chance of correct answer. Hanlon's Razor is my philosophical favorite.
Sorry, only just seen this! Thanks for clearing that up.

Finally had a reply after chasing my query from Friday. A replacement baseplate is on the way. Fingers crossed 🤞

Solid. Hope it works out for you my friend. Maybe they can redeem themselves, at least partially and the experience won't leave such a bad taste in your mouth. Fingers crossed.....

Hope so 🤞. Have the original Occam's and their DE which are perfectly good. They seem to be having a bit of a nightmare at the moment though.
