This thread will provide a perfect excuse to use more than one razor or types of razors. So, break out your 1880's Sheffield SR and your "59 Gillette Fatboy. Use a Micromatic and a Schick injector.

Use two brushes, mix your after shave, a different blade for each pass...LOL!! Okay enough fun because this is as serious and a heart attack.

Just don't post drunk....... :D

Ok, here we go then..

I’m still only confident enough with the Feather to do with and across the grain passes although tbh, it’s really a combination of wtg and xtg in one pass. The brand new GEM blade (shave 1) was characteristically sharp for the atg (second) pass. The closest shave perhaps in my life. Significant feedback from the alum block and snake bite. By the time I applied the second splash the tremendous sting was already dissipating.

Excellent, Charlie! I don’t know why we think it necessary to only use one tool from the toolbox.

That’s a beautiful GEM type razor!
