Thayers witch hazel

Seems to be the way forward...The Thayers is alcohol free as well which will be a first for me, Humphreys (my regular brand) is 14% alcohol and as such can be a little drying if used daily.

I'm looking to pick up some vintage glass bottles (preferably with hallmarked silver caps... So I can date them ) to decant the witch hazel into, looks classier on the dresser

I prefer cheap distilled witch hazel to alum and, if I were skint, I'd no doubt keep a bottle on the go.

As much as I love it, I don't really see Thayers as 'witch hazel'. It's a lotion that contains witch hazel... among other lovely ingredients.

I seem to remember a thread which outlined Thayer's distillation method as being more traditional and superior to other brands. I certainly prefer it to others that I've tried.

I wasn't aware of the extra alcohol version, I do like an alcoholic splash but find them a bit much for daily use... The likes of Fine start to dehydrate my face after a couple of days, not so bad if they have some oil like Floïd.

I stumbled upon a new brand of witch hazel on Amazon (US store) named Quinn's. My first use I thought it was greasy or oily, but after a few uses, once it dried I felt it left my skin a bit softer. They make a scented and lavender scented version.
