Omega is using different lofts for their boar models, some set low, some high, some in between.

I don't know if I'd like to use a boar with that kind of loft to width ratio. Oth, Omega boar brushes are so inexpensive, good too, I may have to try one.

My first boar brush was an Omega B&B Essential Boar. It is an outstanding brush and got me to try other boars. I now own three: Omega B&B, Semogue OC and Thater Premium Boar. Although I use badgers primarily (I have 27 of the suckers) the boars are in my regular brush rotation and make a very pleasant change of pace. The specs for each knot are:

Omega B&B 22X54
SOC 24X57
Thater 26X59

a knot transferred from Omega model 49 to DIY handle, lowered from normal 63 mm loft to 56ish, works really well
