Possibly, there’s a Yaqi knot that also looks very similar. Simpson should have stuck with the second version of the platinum fibre. It was unique and really spectacular. There's even some evidence they are using Chinese made badger knots in some of their brushes! So much for "hand tied in the Isle of Mann"!
