It was a two pass near BBS shave. I tweeked the across the grain pass to get closer. English is is always an appropriate finish to a shave.

I usually don't care much for brush handles, but that's a very nice looking brush handle.

The Tatara Amakuni was not on my things to buy list but all my worries have been calmed and now I am glad to have it in my den.
It's top quality in shave and build wise and just what you would expect from a razor made by Tatara.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Wrights Coal Tar bar Soap.
Brush: Wilkinson Sword Boar.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Ikea Kalas Side Bowl.
Lather: Wilkinson Sword Soap Bowl.
Blade: King C. Gillette. (D2)
Razor: King C. Gillette.

Post:
Cold Water face rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Brut Splash-On Lotion./Cien Cocoa Butter Body Lotion.

Everything in my shave set up paired together superbly making my Sunday morning shave a pleasurable experience.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Cocoa Butter Body Lotion.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.😉

I have used this handle, web plate but the head of the razor in steel before.

This is the all titanium version which weighs 30 grams.

And I like it.

This razor removed 2 and a half days of growth with ease and comfort.
And the ultra lightness is that something a little different, I like to have in the den.

I think this will be staying in the den for a while 😁

After a while of using comfortable AC razors (the Amakuni and the Spirit) the open comb Hawk with a Feather Pro was a bit of a shock! After just two passes and a few touch ups I’m glass smooth. Finishing off with Benjamin’s Bay Rum was a pleasure.
