Oh yes - not as much as other boars I’ve had while breaking in but still noticeable and it still requires plenty of loading even when compared to a badger.

My lather was roo thin but the shave was still comfortable. A new Astra covers quite a few sins. Two passes and done. Chivalry calmed my face and Stetson raised my spirits.

A nice two pass shave tonight with the Brass Overlander. This razor is amongst the very best I own.

A quick splash of the now discontinued Freshwood and I look blooming fantastic.

They are still being sold, at least here in Greece, but most of the jars have become more like a hard soap and less like a soft cream. This phenomenon doesn't happen with St James Of London or cheap creams in tubes.

I received my jar at Christmas and the consistency is very soft and viscous which suggests it was made fairly recently
