Last time I had a Aesop / Sori Yanagi bowl I didn’t have CH3 sized brushes so it felt a little small this morning - fortunately the very soft Platinum fibres encourage face lathering so it wasn’t that much of a problem but it does remind me why I preferred the Gile’s Pottery pedestal bowl. The Vetyver MdC smells delightful but mildly irritating to me skin so I’ll finish off the sample but it’s off the possible purchase list

It's a small bowl, IMO ideal for either travel or for taking up scooped soap and working it into the brush prior to face lathering. For this it is perfect. If you want a bigger, more or less unbreakable bowl, then I can highly recommend the HC&C stainless steel bowl, if you can find one.

Because it’s the bottom of a stack I do not use the Tabac enough, the scent takes me back a bit as was considered quite posh in the 70,s.
First use of the sheep’s milk soap as a pre wash, quickly produces a thick lather as a good base for the Tabac.Was in fact a very nice quick Shave with a very pleasing close finish.
