Pre: Bulldog face wash
Soap: Wickhams 1912 English Rose Sample
Brush: 24mm Yaqi Sagrada Familia synthetic
Razor: Schick Krona
Blade: Nacet (1)
Post: Cold water rinse, Thayers unscented Witch Hazel
AS: Myrsol Agua De Limon, L'Occitane Cade Balm
Scent: Creed Virgin Island Water

A lovely 2 pass WTG, XTG shave just a moment ago. Smell from the English Rose soap is wonderful for a hot day and worked to it's high standards as per usual. Krona paired with the Nacet seems to be a great combo.... I've not found a razor yet (in my limited experience of course) that doesn't go well with said blade. At the mo it is at the top of the tree. Myrsol did an excellent job of cooling and refreshing, and for an extra treat I used the L'occitane Cade balm sample. My face is now feeling lovely and smooth, soft and smelling great. Time to grab a cold cider and 'enjoy' the football. Out with the 'boys' tonight..... Have a great afternoon / evening guys!

Another very generous sample kindly gifted by James @Seamus1981. Thank you

This is the first time I've used a Catie's Bubbles soap and I'm impressed. According to the scent profile it's a relaxing blend of lavender and pink grapefruit.:)

@Nishy - See my Purtech knot
That brush is gorgeous. I seem to remember Pur-Tech knots having the makeup brush look, not unlike the Razorock Plissoft. Is that a new incarnation of the Pur-Tech?

Brad Sears DFS LE
Martin de Candre Vetyver
Pitralon Classic aftershave

First outing of the Brad Sears brush.

Probably the neatest knot I've come across with the darkest hair with the whitest tips. Beautiful.
As soon as I run the knot under the tap and run it across my palm there was a gasp, so, so soft.

It created a lather with ease with plenty of flow through.
Backbone. It shares the same characteristics as the Saponificio Varesino knot. The backbone is there with the painting strokes.
Is it a keeper? I'll use it a couple more times before I can confirm that.:p:

Onto the shave. I found the Shark blade tuggy on the first pass. I swapped it out for the Polsilver and things improved greatly, very smooth. 3 passes on setting 3 and 2.5 for touch-ups. Very good results again.

Enjoy your weekend. We can relax until Wednesday night. :p:

Cheers

Preshave: Hot water rinse + bloom water
Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Gillette Nacet (2)
Brush: Omega 10018 Boar
Shave Soap: Palmolive stick (grated)
Aftershave Balm: Bulldog Sensitive
Aftershave: Brut Body Splash

A late shave today, mainly due to catching up from yesterday, collecting the gear from the wedding venue, etc.

Quite simply all the elements came together again to deliver a BBS finish. I rounded off with Brut Splash, strongly reminiscent scent but nowhere near as long lasting as the vintage stuff (Brut 33, as I recall).

Still can't quite believe the England result, with sympathies to our Swedish friends, but we march on.

Have a good weekend, gents.

Regards,
Chris
