Razor: Carbon Shaving Co. Cx-316L .68
Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome
Brush: Prometheus Handcrafts / AP Shave Co SilkSmoke
Pre: King C. Gillette Beard & Face Wash
Lather: House Of Mammoth Hygge
Post: ClarinsMen Gel Energisant
Fragrance: Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme

(Sorry initially posted in the wrong thread)

Slightly over hydrated the Mammoth at first so started over from scratch, second time whipped to a bubble-less, yogurt consistency
but didn't make enough for a 3rd pass!
The Personna blade while I like them just didn't suit me in the Carbon this morning, got a little chatter on the top lip either side going ATG.
I'll not use one in this razor again & I should have gone with a GSB.
Anyway, not a sterling performance today in the shave & the soap was above average but it didn't blow me away with super slickness but that's probably down to me.
It's definitely a keeper & I need to work on that lather.
Scent strength when lathered is 3/5.
The end result BBS minus.

Have a great shave folks!
I find it easy to over-water the Mammoth soap I have. Keep it a bit thick and it’s excellent.

Prep: Shower with Baxter’s of California face scrub and PAA cube menthol.

Pre: PAA cube menthol.

Soap: Hampshire Shaving Soap No. 1.

Brush: ZENITH unbleached bristle chrome handle 2000 C XSE.

Razor: Futur Clone.

Blade: Rapira

Post: Alum Bart’s aftershave balm.

Another lovely weekend shave after being back at work this week. The original Hampshire lathered better, (or rather I did) than ever before with the Zenith boar brush creamy and voluminous which I don’t normally get from it. It was a great start to the weekend and the super post shave feel on this soap paired with the Bart’s has really made my face feel great!
Have a good weekend.

Its always hard to choose one of the special razors i have, i am really glad the MM got an outing today, sublime, close and comfortable.
Finishing off with the Barts Balm Lime lotion and balm then a good splash of Vintage 4711, it seems this 4711 has a bit more Alcohol in it than the present version.
All good.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Cheers Paul, initially it was dry so that's when I over hydrated it then all was lost. Second time although it was yogurt like but it wasn't peaking as I like so I do know it was my fault.
On reflection I even think I over hydrated on the second lather so you saying that you find it easy to over water it I will have to take extra attention next time. I am happy with the soap, the scent is great and even though I mentioned I wasn't blown away I know it has potential & I realise the error of my ways.
I think the fact also that I wasn't entirely happy with the blade today also took the shine off todays shave. It's just how it goes sometimes I guess.
Thanks for replying
