People, keep your kids out of the screenAnd I did it....
Razor: Rocnel Model SE50, 2016 Version
Blade: Feather PG-15 Artist Club ProGuard Blades, #1
Shaving brush: Bruji “Cherry” - Alumilite resin shaving brush with a 25mm high-quality badger fan knot
Shaving soap / shaving cream: William Marvy Company Deluxe Shaving Soap
Aftershave Lotion / Splash: Stirling Soap Co. Almond Creme Aftershave Splash
Aftershave Balm: Balea MEN After Shave Balm Ultra Sensitive
Booster: Ethos Grooming Essentials Skin Care Collection Derma Boost Rejuvenating Elixir
Eau de Toilette: Tabac Wild Ride
No… not a bad lather day as such. I knew exactly what I was getting into and came prepared. Still, I wanted to find out how the Marvy performs on its own. Here is the rather sad face-lathering result.
Rescued from the second pass onwards, thanks to a boost from the finest Ethos Unscented RS, as seen on the last lather photo.
Marvy is a classic old-school barbershop Soap, so foam yes, lather no. Minimal cushion, no skin care to speak of. A good balm or moisturizer after the shave is not optional, it is essential. That said, it has brutal residual slickness and ghost lather. An honest shave and no frills.
At least today's lather was excellent - finally after two daysPeople, keep your kids out of the screen
The creaminess is shocking![]()
