Wednesday 3rd June ...

First use of a Tech today in June in my least favourite - the ball end. Despite being knackered and not really up for a shave, I went ahead and enjoyed it regardless thanks to the gear. The brush was first rate as was the soap I paired it with. These two are a fairly formidable pairing to say the least. The Tech did very well also paired with an RK Pro Edge Platinum #1. A new blade for me which really surprised me and gave a shave as good as the Nacet I've been using this week.

Carried on with right hand and right cheek with the shavette. The blade was a Shark #3. Explored a bit further and learnt about the pointy ends on the edge of the blade today. A new lesson 🙂

Enjoy your day...

Might not be your thing, but for some reason when I began to use a straight razor, shavette or self honed, I used both hands. I also borrowed the idea of using a damp sponge to wipe the blade between strokes. Congratulations on your shave today.

Thanks for the tips. Am hoping to move to the left hand when I swap to the other cheek but am just going nice and slow for now with right hand right cheek. Decided to explore under the nose today which brought the new learning 😍. It’s going to be a long journey- I’m in no rush - and I’ll take my time. Can I ask why the wet sponge? For glide?

Cheers for the pointers 🙂

Should have said damp sponge, but I don’t like getting the blade too wet as in when you use running water or dipping into water.

When I shave just below the bottom lip I use both hands.
