The winner has been decided. The Merkur 37C will remain in the den and the RazoRock German 37 will hit the BST on the weekend. It's a fine razor but I prefer the Merkur.

Another super shave from the Masamune, along with a great lather from the A&E. The Yaqi cashmere is becoming another synthetic favourite and creates a nice and luxurious lather. All in all a great start to the day.

After a few shaves I can confirm that the new Elios blades made in Egypt are both smooth and sharp and work well in a variety of razors. In other words, much better than their German made predecessors. The only negative point to date is that they are three shaves and done for certain.​
