Kind of a weird razor. You use it exactly opposite to everything you've learned about shaving and it works. Don't stretch your skin, forget about angle, apply pressure and let the sprung pivoting head figure it all out. Good results but it feels strange shaving like this.

Not planned to have a Shave today, but as waiting for Phone Technician decided I would. Though a comfortable Shave, the patchy finish in places indicate the the blade is on the wane, which from memory is about the average I got from a Cart many years ago.

I’ve much neglected my DE’s of late and for no good reason, especially after this shaves proves some are just as good or better than some of my SE’s. I love this special edition soap it just smells amazing and will be a real shame when it eventually bites the dust. I believe it’s a forum special from the states but I do hope it gets a reissue at some point.

Two passes for an outstanding shave! This English made, circa mid 60s Tech was my third. I was drawn to the basketweave handle. I was vaguely aware of it’s general uniqueness as the handle was correctly billed as plated brass. The info re the razor‘s era of manufacture came from the seller. I was later told by a third party that this razor’s geometry was the starting point of Feather‘s AS-D2 design. I do not know if that is true. Fwiw, having never tried the Feather razor I have no personal frame of reference. However I can attest to this razor being more particular about angle compared to other Techs. That said, it’s a great shave every shave. More on the soap scraps another time
