A good, DFS result that was very comfortable and irritation free. Haven't used this razor / blade combo for a while, and getting reacquainted was really pleasant.

This is a partial shoutout to @chazt and also what I’m using today.
The brush on the left is a Zenith Boar 506. It’s just a joy to use with the thick bristles. The one on the right is a mix badger and boar Semogue Owner’s Club. Having a “Mixed Midget”, I’ve always thought this to be the best of both worlds!
The Gillette 109 for me is a better design than short handled designs previously available even though, I love the older ones as well.

Not because I got it for free from Sri, but it's a beautiful soap in all aspects.
A bit tricky to lather because the brush seemed not to pick enough soap, but I was wrong. I added tons of water to break down the texture. It was milky, glue & buttery.
The hydration was obvious from the very first moment. A rich layer of high end night cream was on my face. The slickness and residual slickness were excellent although the Slant is very aggressive and violent if you don't pay attention.
The scent is cologne style, bright with a twist.
Post shave is mythical. No dryness, no heat no burning sensation. Hydration lasted until the next day. Safe scent for all (because some of them were offensive to my nose).
The blade is a winner too. Lasts and lasts without pulling the skin.
