Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Wrights Traditional Bar Soap with Coal Tar Fragrance.
Brush: Fine 24mm Synthetic.
Face & Head Lather.
Lather Erasmic shaving soap bowl.
Blade: Treet Platinum.(D1)
Razor: Parker 87R.
Razor: Gillette Guard. (Head/Dome) (D1)

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+ Witch Hazel./Cien Men Aqua ASL./Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

A simple, but very enjoyable early morning face & head shave with no drama.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.

Tuesday 23rd June...

Tried to choose some colder shaving items today and may have overdone it as my face feels absolutely frozen now. The soap was TGS Pino Alpestre - the Vicks Vaporub equivalent of shaving soaps - and while it doesn't have the slickness of some of the soaps I have, it certainly has the chill factor.

Used a Derby Premium #1 today in the shavette which felt like the closest match for me so far in terms of blades. Tidied up with the Schick with its #3 Personna blade although it doesn't see much action compared with normal shaves.

My first Shave with this Razor. Found it hard to get correct Shave angle, and did not have a good blade feel. Thought by response from the razor, that an area was well clear, whereas in fact it was not,particularly around upper and lower lip, and tip of chin. Will persevere as not a bad finish on the cheeks and neck.

I’d only managed three shaves on this GEM before a Recurve arrived in the post to distract me so now I know which I prefer back to using the razors I had in rotation until the blade fades. And today’s shave showed zero drop off - in fact due to paying close attention to the angle and ensuring it’s flat against my face I had an outstanding shave. And it was nice and fresh.
