Another shave Another Hit & Miss.
As i bought this razor a few months ago i decided to give it a go even after the not so nice feedback.
we were all told the handle was ok but the head was shite to coin a phrase lol.
Anyway i’m a self harmer so thought let’s give it a go.
I went with the wonderful Goats Milk base from Signature another wonderful soap,
and it was the saving grace from what could have been a dreadful shave if i allowed it.
i use the razor with delicate ease.
Hardly touching it at all,
i couldn’t be any lighter if i tried.
I won’t be using this head again however the shave actually wasn’t that bad,
i did enjoy it probably because of the soap but still with the lightest of strokes the shave turned out ok.
The soap as i say is tremendous and paired paired with the Myrsol & Baxter’s it was a lovely warming feel.
Just the right amount of Peppermint in the soap & just the right amount of menthol in the balm made it.
Until tomorrow lads stay safe from these dreadful storms

Pre-Shave: Warm Water Splash
Blade: Feather (6th use)
Razor: Muhle R41
Brush: Muhle Chrome Silvertip
Cream - Proraso Red
Post-Shave: Alum Block, Rose Water
Today I tried something different. I let the shaving cream clean my face instead of prepping in the traditional manner wet shavers are familiar with.
I got to say I had no trouble at all shaving. My stubble was a little stiffer, but all in all I felt the quality of the shave was equal to that of going the full 9 yards.
I had no irritation at all and that was with a Feather blade on its 6th use. I had to trash it after this shave.
It was a great shave. I am getting more and more confident with my technique and it is showing with the Alum Block. I haven't yet gone against the grain on a 3rd pass with the R41 since my technique has improved, but my 2nd pass which sometimes could be a problem has improved enormously. There are places I do go AGT and I am getting the angle correct so it is keeping me optimistic for the 3rd pass in the future.
I am giving it a 9/10.

Jack Black seems to work better with a fair amount of product. First pass gave a good reduction. Either my beard is tougher in th winter or I got a softer blade because this one is done after two shaves. I got a decent shave with 2 passes and clean up but no bbs. I went with Nivea because I scrbbed pretty hard on the clean up. The Just like Polo is to counteract the snow on the ground. This is the first snow that has hung around in several years.
