Well, the knot in my new Olivewood brush is simply shocking. Awful, awful. Floppy as an extremely floppy thing and it has to go. It also knotted up and produced next to no lather.
The MOD OC razor is simply the muts nuts, never ceases to product an extremely close and smooth shave.
Big Boars Bay Rum is superb, lovely Old Spice'y scnet and leave the skin nicely toned and conditioned.
Top job, ready for Rogue One tonight with my Dad and Son.

Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers unscented
AS: 4711 lotion + Nivea Replenishing Balm

First shave with the Ikon X3, it was very good but not as close as I thought it might be in places, I suspect that was down to taking it very gently as I have never tried a slant before. The shave was smooth and irritation free and I am looking forward to trying the X3 with some of my regular blade choices in the future.

An excellent shave. The soap has a rich, sweet, floral scent, and it easily made very good lather. The Stork razor handle is beautiful and very light and comfortable.

Thank you for your kind words my friend, it's actually a Shavemac. I had a Thater that looked very similar but I sold it. I have another 26mm with an ebony handle also.
Shavemacs are wonderful brushes, I highly recommend them.

I've been looking on shavemac brushes for a while now, my next brush is going to be a shavemac

Death Match Shake Sharp v1 vs Shake Sharp v2. The Bakelite v1 is equipped with two stacked Permasharp blades, the chrome v2 with the more sensible one. Winner is the more aggressive hacked Bakelite, delivering BBS without any irritation on the head shave where the v2 does produce a little where buffing was required on the crown stubble. The hinged cap on the v2 does not fit as securely as the pressure fit hacked v1 which may well account for the difference.
