Had an afternoon shave.
Razor: Hawk in satin finish. Very much a 'Meh!' shave. Too light, drag and a bit rough shave-feel. After one pass I switched to an old two-blade cart razor that got me dolphin smooth.
Brush: Outstanding brush by Brad Sears w/ a Muhle synthetic 'silvertip'. A truly great handle and the knot was very decent.

Today used the second of my Gillette Adjustables, which do not get much use as I now use SE/Injectors more. Though I like
longer handles, I found that the Shorter/ Chunkier handle of the FatBoy combined with the head , seemed to work a lot better for me than the Slim.

I had yesterday with the Slim, felt inclined to use pressure on it whilst shaving - with the FatBoy I was able to hold it very lightly
and use its weight to carry out the Shave. The Shaving experience felt more natural, and was both close and comfortable, and I even got a good finish on the neck ,where i failed somewhat yesterday,The Shave was no doubt helped by the rich creamy lather
I got with the Vitos today.

Wow what a shave. This was the fist outing with my first Japanese razor wonderfully honed by UKRob (a bit thank you). My routine was nothing special at all, the usual stuff following a shower. Carefully stropped the new razor on my Westholme Cordovan strop then of to work we go... It was smooth, I mean really smooth that's not to say you can be laissez-faire but the result following 3 passes was stunning and just one of those days when all clicked into place.
