A/S - Mäurer & Wirtz 4711 Jasmine
Up today for comparison is the Rex Ambassador, this razor is one of the best adjustable's out there once dialled in, it can feel quiet dangerous on the higher setting but under #4 it is a very efficient beasty. Today i wanted a very smooth shave from it so set it at #2.5, the RSP was set at #3.6 to replicate the blade gap of around 0.64.
A brilliant, plentiful lather from the DRH / Duke 2 combo and away i went.
The Rex was really smooth from the off on the LH side, it took a couple of strokes to dial in the RSP to the same feel and i settled on #3.4. Both running as smooth as silk.
The blade that felt a bit harsh yesterday was as smooth as silk today in the Rex.
I completed 2 full passes WTG then ATG with a little XTG touch up on the cheeks and Adams apple.
A very nice BBS finish was my reward.
An excellent post shave routine with very little fleeting indication from the splash, both sides feeling the same.
Spot on that.
Enjoy your day all.
