Pre shave: Hot shower and Neutrogena glycerin soap bar
Razor: 1938 No. 15 Gillette Aristocrat
Blade: Personna GEM PDG (14)
Brush: Captain Fawcett Synthetic V
Bowl: Captains choice copper
Soap: Glasgow soap company Parma Violet
Post shave: Nivea men sensitive cool post shave balm

I've struggled to find the time to fit in a shave today, so when I was finally able to I decided to treat myself to an Aristocrat shave.
And a very pleasant one it was, too.

3 silky smooth and effortlessly efficient passes in a room filled with the intoxicating and calming scent of Parma Violet.
Finished with the ever reliable Nivea men sensitive cool.

Hope you're all having great shaves and a great start to the week!

Wednesday 20th May…

This Aluminium handled Tech is really starting to impress. I think its perfect time might be on 1.5 days growth as it needed the sharpness of the Supermax blade to push through 2 days but after that it was fabulous. I’m getting used to its lighter weight too. It may be edging the fat handle at the moment which is one of my favourite razors so that shows how much I’m enjoying it.

I always forget how much water I need in DR Harris but the Arlington gave a great protective lather. I forget how thick the lathers can be with this soap. A really close and clean shave today. Two and a half passes in the end. Ended up with the merest spot of blood on the last stroke of the blade. Typical.

A wonderful shave. Supremely smooth.
