Preshave:
Hot water rinse
Brush: New Forest 2402 High Mountain Badger
Razor: Gillette Slim [H3] (7)
Blade: Astra SP (4)
Soap/Cream: Palmolive stick (grated)
Aftershave Balm: Bulldog Sensitive
Aftershave: M&S Woodspice Burgundy

The bottom of the soap pot grows ever more visible, even as I try to ration the dregs of the Palmolive soap. I wish I'd stocked up while I had the chance but never mind. The lather was as good as we've come to expect and laid the foundation for another great shave with a BBS, 9/10 finish.

Wishing you a peaceful, safe Sunday.

Regards,
Chris

Razor: Timeless .95 Ti
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Prometheus Handcrafts / AP Shave Co. Silksmoke
Pre: L’Oreal BarberClub Wash
Lather: Spearhead Seaforth! Heather
(Sample only, label printed for the picture)
Post: L’Oreal BarberClub ASB
Fragrance: Guerlain Heritage EDP

First outing with my .95 Timeless.
I wanted my next Timeless to have the TRH6 handle & I bought this on the BST from the good soul that is Jim Bruce (@jimthecamera)
He specified this razor build with just about every extra. My own stainless steel .68 Timeless I went for the industrial look with the build. I wanted Rockwell 6S styling influences so went for a matt finish, smooth cap & bar but putting this alongside it then it has some serious bling going on!

Pairing up with a GSB, my favourite blade. A noticeable increase in the aggression over my .68 Timeless but still lower than my .68 Carbon Cx.
A nice middle ground for when I want to up the ante.
Taking in the characteristics and controlling the cap riding the handling is so good. Falling in the middle of my stainless steel Timeless and Carbon razors, it is a joy to use.

I did actually think titanium would be lighter than it actually is as this is my first titanium razor, it does have a modicum of heft. My stainless steel model is the heaviest razor I have & it does feel so similar but with a handling upgrade. Like putting a performance chip in your car, same car but it’s faster!
One could easily daily drive the .95 baseplate. It has that precision Timeless feel, it’s not going to bite you, it just wants to get on with the job in hand & it does it.
We all know the best shaves do not need a high end razor, I come away with some of the best results using my daily driver which is an R89 but with Timeless it feels special to me. They are my favourite razor brand.

Now onto the Spearhead Seaforth Heather sample. Kindly sent to me by the all round smashing bloke that is Daz (@Tortuga) thank you very much.
One I need to put on the want list, a wonderful lather with a scent to match, can't fault it.

Wishing top shaves all round and have a great Sunday folks!

SOTD: 16/01/2022

Razor: Gem Micromatic
Blade: Gem Blade, 2nd use
Brush: Shedeleven Spalted Scottish Hawthorn AP Shave Co G5C 26mm Fan
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: Seaside Soap And Skin Care Lemon Puck
Aftershave: TOBS No. 7 Lime Aftershave
Balm: Bart’s Balm Ben Cruachan Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

A fabulous shave again, the Micromatic is a fantastic surprise! I thought I’d give another Seaside Soap And Skin Care soap a run out and it creates a lovely thick lather with a nice post shave feel. I thought yesterday’s test with a brand new badger was unfair as although it lathered well, I thought I probably could have loaded a little more soap and given it a good broken in brush or synthetic it could have been able to do better. I was right and it produced a magnificent thick lather, the soap feels great but the scent was a little too strong in the peppermint for me. I’m going to definitely buy a few more samples to try out soon.
Enjoy the weekend guys.

Sami, I bought the bowl from their website. The machined finish with straight wall with shipping costs 56,40€ + custom fees 28,39€ = 84,79€. Custom fees in the Netherlands are lower then Belgium so for you it will be cheaper 😉. Greetings!
Excellent thanks levi i checked on their website before and found all costs included a bit high for a bowl but i guess u pay for the polished labour into it and from what I understood on their website they support the small family business in Pakistan that makes these bowls so i guess that justifies the end price its a beautiful bowl 👌they make nice quality products over at hc&c
Always nice to read u here on this forum as well levi

Cheers my friend,
