The most recent tallow base of Westman. There is Halo too which is vegan.

Started loading the soap, something wasn't right. I bloomed it first to be sure, but, the brush while seemed to loading soap, left me with a big hole in the center with no soap. This doesn't happen often to me, but I began face lathering.

Soap didn't behave very well, no volume, no good density, no good "creaminess". It was like milk on the face and although it wasn't dripping, I couldn't produce a decent amount of lather. I added water, nothing really changed.

Of course, the lather had only slickness and almost nothing else, it wasn't a bad shave, although I did cut badly my down lip while I was on #6 with the Yaqi Final Cut (not the soap's fault though). Two passes WTG & I wanted this shaving nightmare to come to an end. Nothing enjoyable tonight. The scent is definitely not for me, reminds me the Weleda Balm , not bad but far from great.

Post shave was nice and face was hydrated. But this isn't a base I would buy again. I much prefer the older one, thankfully I have Utopia set & Rastilho that I enjoy much more. Scents are far better for me.

I also enjoyed the Halo base way better (the vegan). Although a bit finicky with the loading, I had a great lather last time.
