A very comfortable shave with the "500" another brilliant version of the Schick injector.
Yesterday was a great day out, had a couple of wins but nothing to shout about, bumped into a mate with a big smile on his face saying "tell me you had it on"? I knew what he meant, a horse came in at 50/1 called Ten Bob Tony which i had dismissed as having no chance, he had it in a double and won just under £700. Ah well, he was laughing his head off.
Enjoy your day all.

Went solo straight I see?
Yeah I had the DE razor all loaded and set to go for the second pass and touch ups but didn't use it in the end. The second pass was much easier than I thought. The under the nose thing went better than planned too. My bulbous chin is still a work in progress as is the sensitive area under my lower lip which spots up. Hopefully technique will improve as time goes on but it's nice to see the path through finally!! 👍

It gave a very clean shave too off two passes.

Cheers

Thank you! It was a period when engineers and designers were very creative. This Art Deco Streamline design razor is just a good example of that. Very good shaver, too. It is adjustable, so I can crank it up until it's very efficient. Quite comfortable, as well.
I agree with you 100%. That's why 90% of my razors are vintage. I also really want to add a The Cooper Carryall razor to my collection; it's also a wonderful example of Art Deco style.

Forum GOD!
How did the Dominus go? Have watched a review online but would be interested in your thoughts?

Thanks
Mark
Only very first impressions: a bit heavier than what I like, seems very mild- I even checked whether I had put in a blade, but very effective, a DFS, close to BBS. But need some more shaves to confirm

First Shave my Aristocratic #66. I have been drawn to the looks of the Gillette Aristocrat series from England. This razor just arrived today, all it needed was some rubbing alcohol and it was good to go. I just finished my first shave with it and I have to say it shaves as good as it looks! Flawless full three pass shave that felt “just right”.

Proraso pre-shave, Omega EVO brush, House of Mammoth Alive soap, Tatra blade (3), Gillette #66 Aristocrat, Omega alum, Thayers Toner, HAGs Faceless balm, HoM Alive EDP.
