Boti 27mm Boar - Cella Original - Parker SRDW/Derby Premium - Lustray Spice AS

I used an earlier model of this Parker razor when I first decided to try a shavette. I cut myself and never went back to it. I still believe that something with protected corners like a Focus or a Vanta is the best way to start. A few years down the line with experience and the Parker gave a faultless shave. It will make an excellent low cost travel razor

Gave another go to the Feather AS-D1.
This time I put in two shims to try & make the shave a bit more efficient.

It worked the shave was very smooth & audible feedback of the whiskers being scraped off.
Really enjoyed using the razor today as the shims completely transformed the shave.
I would say still the Feather DE razors are a 'Marmite' piece of hardware having such a narrow sweet spot, but definitely improved for me👌

Yet another smooth and comfortable Shave with The Evo, perhaps the blade is tailing off as the closeness of finish is not quite as I expected.However, there were no signs of irritation after the Shave, and no sting when Aftershave applied.

Preshave: Hot water rinse
Brush: Yaqi White Knight 24mm Synthetic
Razor: Gillette Rocket Flare Tip
Blade: Sainsbury's Stainless [Dorco] (10)
Soap/Cream: Cella
Aftershave Balm: Harvard Vetiver
Aftershave: M&S Woodspice Amber

The bottom of the Cella pot is almost entirely exposed, nearly time to top up from the remains of the 1Kg block. This gear may not be outstanding or reassuringly expensive but results are consistently dependable, which is important. Two days' growth whipped off to deliver a rewarding BBS+, 9.5/10 finish.

Very nice, just as efficient as the DX but easier to use - For me.
I will run some unguarded blades through this one.

Going to work this morning around 5.30am there was a bit strong wind with a lot of very wet snow/sleet, it had cleared up by about 830, we have had the sun out since about 10am, then as i write the sky has started growing darker:eek:.
