My best shaving soap scent came out today and what a very lucky lady my wife is to end up with such a humble shy gorgeous hunk of love in her life.

This shave was a solid 9.0 perfect storm of favored gear in every category.
Two passes, bbs most places, dfs elsewhere.
I’ve had the Lupo since it came out. It’s become an always predictable, easy two pass dfs-bbs shave. But that wasn’t always the case. It was initially a rough and unremarkable shave until probably a dozen shaves in, untiI I finally found the angles that worked for me. I bought it second hand new from a gentleman on TSN who’d bought two. He bought everything in twos just in case he liked it and wanted a backup. This razor was from the second and I believe last release of the DLC. I missed the first release, and by the time I got to the website for the second batch there were none available. So I waited and waited for the eventual den clearance sale extravaganza. Needless to say, because of his buying habits he held many a den clearance sale extravaganza! He was, btw, one of my early shave heros, a hoarder of the first degree, and he kindly sold this one to me at his original retail cost, which iirc was somewhere in the vicinity of $75. It was sealed and unused when it arrived in the mail. Turned out, he actually preferred using the lighter aluminum version but idk if he held on to the other DLC.
Ah, Med Preps! I haven’t loaded one in a long while. @Randy put the idea in my head. What else can one say about Med Preps but
The Pegasus Mistura is a powerhouse! It’s a stately handle profile and very comfortable in hand. I like the tortoise shell colored resin with the gold foil logo very much. The 27mm knot is almost “there” after an extended break-in period. It’s dense and scrubby, and is a joy to use when face lathering. It was a good half dozen lathers before I felt that the knot had finally loosened up. Now after about some 2 dozen shaves with this beauty, it’s close to peak performance, if it’s not already “there.” But truthfully, I think it’s still capable of further development. I bought it the first day it was listed for sale in the US. Phil at BullGoose had been telling me for some weeks about the “new, extra large” Semogue knots that were about to be released. He was so excited, and immediately began talking to them about making a unique offering for his Asylum Shave Works brand. The same size knot was used for the Semogue TSN Final Edition brush. There were 150 made in total, fifty each of Finest Badger, Boar and Mistura (I nabbed Mistura 1/50)
The software needs no further introduction, explanation or backstory than is listed above. ‘Nuff said.

This is its second use. It’s fun, and I think the scalloped walls help to whip air in, but also a little scary. It’s eggshell-thin!
