Prep: Valobra Glicerlanolina Soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: TroyCraft Sapphire Amphora 3-band Silvertip Badger
Soap: Antica Barbieria Colla
Razor: Gillette Gold Super Adjustable P2 (7-7-7)
Blade: Vintage NOS Gillette Platinum Plus (1)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, APR Bois de santal de verveine Aftershave Lotion
Scent: Morgan’s Vintage 1873 EdC

It is a rare privilege to shave with an iconic vintage completely unused mint virgin razor. And what a superb shave it delivered. I loaded up the Gillette Gold Super Adjustable( P2) with a period-correct Gillette Platinum Plus blade, dialed it up to 7, and went at it.
Sometimes a great shave like this sends a tingle up the spine. 54 years young and remains a superb razor.

Wilkinson TTO razor
Family Dollar DE blade
Omega boar brush
Arko shaving soap
Mennen skin bracer aftershave

Hot shower prep

I shook out the Omega brush pretty dry and tried loading it from the side instead of the tips. It loaded a bit faster. The Family Dollar blades do work but just barely. They don't tug but they also don't shave as close as I'd like. I'm working through all the open packages in my medicine cabinet before I open any more. I'm determined to get at least one shave out of all the blades I buy. First pass gave a good reduction. Second pass was what I would have called a good shave before I discovered wet shaving. The skin bracer cooled everything off even though I didn't have any irritation.

Second shave off between the Aluminium and Titanium Henson and absolutely no surprises - see yesterdays shave 😎

While the shave from the PAA CK-6 is outstanding the scent of Dapper Doc reminds me of that pink medicine I often had as a kid - and that’s not a good thing 🫤

Last night's SOTN (Head & Face)

Face - Aylsworth Apex SS+, Nacet
Head - Aylsworth Apex AL6063, Rainbow Super Class
Aylsworth/MacDuffs The Northman - soap & splash
Yaqi Caramel synthetic brush
Thayer's Coconut
Nivea Pro Sensitive Ultra Calming Balm

With much of this arriving in yesterday's mail all figured I may as well go as all in as I could with an Aylsworth shave - can't say I'm sorry about it either.

The Blutt is for me, without a doubt in my top 3 razors, i just like everything about it, if i was forced to choose only 1 modern DE razor the Blutt would be it.
3 passes for a very comfortable BBS finish.
Enjoy your day all.
