This particular DG soap has always been wrong. It does not lather properly at all.
The end resulting lather while it has perfect slickness and scent (although inspired by PDM Layton it's nowhere near tbh).
It has a houmous like texture, grainy, not smooth and no shine. Like a thick cake batter.
I have persevered with this soap all the time I have had it, I do not like its off white brown lather either.
So in the bin it has gone. I have no problems with my other DG soap, this must be just a bad one.

What the Ares like? I have the Athena and it’s superb. OC would probably be too much for me but I do like the handle. Classy.

If you know the Athena, you know the level of aggressivness of the Ares as well. Perhaps a bit more bladefeel as this one is OC.
Suberb machined, I love it.

It's always been a weird one, that's why I left it for a while.
Thought I would give it another chance, it shaved ok but I had to draw the line. It's not put me off DG as I seem to think I had heard of a bad batch from somewhere ages ago.
Never had a soap that curdles like that though, taking the brush to the soap produced just a watery, bubbly liquid. I had to put some work in to get it like that
