I've never tried any AoS products, so I can't compare. I would put it close to D.R. Harris, fairly muted and not overpowering..

I had a tub of sandalwood that went bad on me. It really wasn’t that old, but it developed a putrid smell. I have two other scents that are still good. Nothing special about their creams, except the name on the can.

The sandalwood scented one is my favorite (combined with proraso sandalwood aftershave lotion) and very good slickness as well.

I own the Sandalwood and Bay Rum tubs. Bay Rum especially has an amazing scent.
Sandalwood is also very nice.
