Review Simpson's always alert.

Forum GOD!
Dear wet shavers zealots.
I recently acquired a not needed 135€ brush, Simpson's Captain 2 best badgers which prickles like Hell. Try to tame it, by rubbing over cotton towel, sinking it whole night into beautiful tallowated soap foam and even through a tarot spread. Nothing works properly. Even most cards on table were swords. 🙃.
I choose forget about it and burying its red coffin at the end of the draw, sending previously a text to Simpson's cause there's excessive likelihood to receive uncomfortable units with the brand
They behaved adequately asking for any fault in the unit and illustrating to me on the variability nature 'furry' sometimes displays.
It's my own experience there's no brand rooting it's prestige on premium stuff that don't deserve the label. I also believe treatment and selection make the difference and perhaps Simpsons has their own 'bad Mondays'.
Captain 2 prickle is obnoxious and beyond what you would expect from the humble The Grosvenor Pure Badger showed in the picture.

I believe what you say. I’ve also had similar experiences with new brushes. One was a Duke 3 Best, probably 11 or 12 years ago. Prickly as the day was long! I sent it off to Rudy Vey who replaced the offending Simpson knot with a lovely Shavemac two band. It’s since been one of my favorites and remains firmly in my rotation. The other brush was by Thäter. This one also had a serious problem with scritch. Bob Quinn replaced that knot with one of his stunningly perfect two band knots from years ago. This one also has since become a beloved member of my den. Will post some pics later tonight.
