Here is my Nimmer Mills, Somerset Commodore X3. Knot is 25mm in Best. Those who know what to look for can see the "collaring".

This is one of those brushes you think, hmm, now I don't need another brush... and then you come to your senses.

It is, simply, perfect. They just don't make them like this any more. Dates to the late 60s. The photo doesn't do it justice.

The "Trial no 1" the prototype brush that went on to become the eagle. This is from the collection of the owner of The Somerset factory. I was in a fortunate enough to have the opportunity to acquire a few pieces from the personal collection.
Which I will post when I receive but for now I thought I'd share this rare brush.

Blue velvet suitcase used by salesmen to show retailers.

Amazing! What year?
The gentleman I spoke to said his father-in-law owned the Somerset factory from 1990 to 2008. I suspect the case is from the early '90s. This collection belonged to him, and he passed away last year, unfortunately. These were found in storage.

I think the same person just sold a Real Horn brush in the Tulip shape. It was a stunner too so good luck to whoever bought that one!

That's correct, it was offered to me in a pre eBay sale but I declined. It was mentioned there was an American collector interested but preferred to sell to someone in the UK.
