Simpson Brushes Appreciation Thread

Hi guys

Just thought I'd mention that the Simpsons website still has offers on. I guess we all know that these brushes are priced very high, but if you want to try one but put off by price check out the tulip 3 in Italian marble. I'm not convinced it's actually half price, but that's a great price for a new Simpsons Manchurian.

If I hadnt just bought a new watch I'd be very tempted.

No need to thank me.... ;-)

I've been using an Emperor 3 I was lucky enough to get in the classifieds here.

Steady use since and it hasn't lost a single hair. It has a fantastic handle design which I like and the Super knot is soft tipped with a strong backbone. I really do like it. I have a pair of Shavemac brushes coming soon and I'll begin to rotate them all around afterwards. At the moment, I usually shave every other day and only use the Emperor.

:okay:
Very glad to hear you're still pleased with it. If it were 26mm I think it would have been my Goldilocks brush.

Hiya,

Back in about 2010 I happened on an estate sale in a very nice neighborhood and got there late morning as it turned out. Found an old brush that looked unused with no price tag. Waited in line for someone to gimme a $ number and finally a kindly older woman appraised my item at $10. I thought that was very reasonable.....

So years ago Gary Somebody recognized it as a Simpson made by his family for this nice Chicago store. Been used by me well over 1000 times....lots more after all these years. Drops maybe 2 hairs a year, if that. Still performs well enough to be in my rotation.

Oh, here are two horrible pics.
