Simpson Brushes Appreciation Thread

I'm into wetshaving for many reasons, and much of it has to do with tradition. I know that there are many great brushmakers out there, but few can boast the traditional aspect of the Simpson name. Now, I'm aware that Simpson brushes are made by Progress/Vulfix on the Isle of Man, and that's fine with me since, aside from the handles being formed on CNC machinery, all aspects are done in the traditional manner.
I've been a Simpsons fan in the past, and remain one... actually, this feeling being somewhat reinforced over the years.

Anyway, I've been looking at this brush on Simpsons site for ages, and finally saw my way clear to make one mine. The Simpsons "58" LE in faux Tortoise... a nice chock of Manchurian hair ...

Fantastic. The colour shading on that handle is awesome!

I have been going through my brushes as I am still off work and bored of the daytime TV.

I put together what I consider to be a few of my vintage treasures I hope you like them.

Those were the days: when brushes were reasonably sized and handles came in properly sober colours. Very nice collection; I'm envious.

Cheers Dipesh, I found out the big one is a Simpsons S9, but the others I was just going by the light patches where the catalin had not yellowed so much. Not sure what the tiny one is ??
That middle one, the fade represents the Rooney logo, it's like a crown.

Unsure on the smaller one to be honest. Could be a Culmak? Looks similar but not the same from the ones I've seen.

I'm curious if you have a preference for brands and / or products that have what we might consider to be 'tradition'?

I do tend toward the "old, established" over "new cutting edge" in anything. My clothing, my vehicles .. most anything I can think of. I dislike change for the mere sake of it. I tend to hold onto the old rather than embrace the new. Hence, traditional products will almost always be my choice...

But, I realize that I'm probably in the minority in that regard. Then again, I've enjoyed, and spent a lifetime, being a salmon swimming upstream...
