Preparing my 73‘ Volvo 1800ES for the upconing season.
Need to replace a cracked cast iron exhaust manifold with a new 4-2-1 stainless part. Looking forward to a exciting 2019 driving season.

Marco

Absolutely. There are days when I just sit in the car and go for a drive by myself. Take the back roads, radio off and just listen to the engine. 45 minutes of that is so relaxing.Anyone here enjoy getting in their car and driving ? Since I’ve had my Peugeot I really look forward to finish time at work, putting my briefcase in the car, sitting in, buckling up and driving. I’m pretty lucky as my drive home opens up into the estuary view of Instow and out to the Atlantic. A nice view no matter what the season, high tide or low. As well as enjoying driving the Pug. Even feel a little disappointed to stop driving when I get home.
I also hear you loud and clear. The car I had before my current ride was a Volvo S60 (2002 or 2003 I think). It was their least powerful version with a 5 cylinder engine and a manual transmission. For me the manual transmission is what made the car fun to drive. And that car was the most trouble free car I've ever had. I put 105,000 miles on it after buying it new. And I really enjoyed driving it a lot. But as you can imagine I was always looking for more power that it couldn't give. From that car I looked around until I found what I had always wanted since I was a little kid......an Audi. I ended up with a 2012 Audi A6 3.0T and bought it lightly used with 18,500 miles on it. It was my first automatic transmission car for me since our Ford Explorer. Man do I LOVE this car. It now has 93,000+ miles on it and it still puts a smile on my face. I like everything about it. Handling, power, cockpit and comfort. An A8 would be too big for me to enjoy. This thing can cruise on the highway but I enjoy it best on the twisty country roads of NJ horse country. And yes, I do feel disappointed to stop driving when I get home.Anyone here enjoy getting in their car and driving ?
