These seem to be addictive. One of my work team, who's young enough to not have to worry about spinal damage, has had a series of them with only a very brief dalliance with a Mini Cooper S. I drove one and was very impressed but couldn't live with the trans whine, road noise and absence of wheel travel!

Totally. Something about the high revving engine and also how raw the jap spac cars are compared to the U.K. Versions is so much fun!

She's been round the block a few times (well about 100,000) but she's an absolute blast to drive and for £925 I think she is pretty smart.

A debt is owed for the advice given by @Rowlers & @Dipesh which although was for a different car taught me the value of research at this price point.

It's not the fastest, it's not the most beautiful. It's not nostalgic or sentimental. But it makes going to work at 3am just that little bit more comfortable.

Shame it didn't come with a Texan oil field too as I'm getting 24mpg

Got this, this morning.

It's basically what we have here as the original Toyota Avensis.

This one is called a Caldina and is the GT-T spec.

This means it has a Celica GT4 running gear and engine. This one is quite extensively modified, the engine has be stroked by HKS to 2.2 from 2.0 litres and is running a Trust TD06 turbo. It's also had the usual work with uprated intercooler, radiator etc. It's a rocket!

That's the only reason I got this, my missus is also mad on pick-ups. But its very agricultural compared to proper car

It's a Ford Ranger, 3.2L Wildtrak

S-Max Vignale. Utterly pointless trim / marketing concept but it has massaging seats and the S-Max is a brilliant vehicle (if a little big in its latest incarnation)
