It’s a bit of a theme for me with AC razors, the shave itself is fine, not as smooth as I like with my existing DEs, just think AC style razors are not for me.

2nd day with the Shield AC and I’m very impressed. I’d say it’s mid aggressive and absolutely balancing on that mid range, for aggression and blade feel. When shaving you feel the blade but it’s always smooth and never feels like biting. It feels at times like it’s a skin scraper, but after each shave so far it’s been glass like finish and despite a bit of Alum sting, produced no redness or irritation. If I can get the same result without any soreness on day three I think this really will be spot on, for giving a near perfect close shave and not causing any real irritation. It’s genuinely making me think of getting rid of a few of my DE’s as between this and the Claymore I think I could happily alternate and never have any issues!

Curiosity got the better of me and a non-polished 1.15 DE has been ordered. Looking forward to see how it stacks up against my wolfman.
