Thoughts on the knots, now that I completed the first test lather:

I have two brushes, Keyhole (bulb type) and Rubberset (fan type) - both on Unique knot.

The Keyhole appears to have a knot of larger dia. actually.
The knot is truly superb, wonderfully soft and performs fantastically during lathering.

The Rubberset offered me mixed feeling, and while the handle is spectacular, the choice of "fan" type for the knot (instead of "bulb") makes it more splurgy.
Feels more dense, lathers faster (or) more powerfully (which is great), bloomed quite a bit after the test lather (not so great for my tastes).
I guess I'll have to find the sweet spot on the technique side, for its best use.

Overall both knots are unimaginably soft (way better than anything I've owned before).
Well done Shavemac, Avnish, and ATG.

I've been playing around with my two unique bulbs that being this group buy and the last (26/52). The previous has definitely got crispy curled tips and feels more like my Paladin knot. It has also had around 10-12 uses. The current brushed having only been used once has straight tips slightly curling but not a huge amount as of yet, having just had one use.

Thank you K, a truly memorable analysis, given your experience with brushes. I also prefer the bulb knot with regards to the unique knots. This shape as you say holds and doesn't splay as largely. It is the softness of tips mixed with the plush backbone that I enjoy; which is most apparent with the bulb. My preference of knot type with a fan would be the standard 2 band silvertip set low.

Saying this the fan does have appeal if you like large coverage. It also provides an excellent face feel. I find painting with the fan to be superb, however the face feel when swirling I enjoy more with the bulb.

It really is Dipesh. It reminds me of my Paladin more than any other brush. Even though I co sides the Paladin more of a wide mushroom bloom or hybrid. However saying this if the newest brush does curl and crispen at the tips it will be incredible.

I've been joking with @Looney12345 about my brush purchase. It was agreed if it did turn out to be orange I'd name it 'Winnie' Forntunety, it's a lovely shade of bronze and gold which is exactly as I ordered. It deserves a special place on my stand and has shamed my others to a lower shelf. @Looney12345 pay attention mate... It's bronze and gold dontcha know!:D
