Ariana & Evans was my GOAT compared with the others I have … Tabac, Mitchell’s Wool Fat, Stirling, Truefitt & Hill, TOBS and GFT. I have a water softener, so I can get a rich lather even from Mitchell’s, but I found A&E had the best slickness over three passes.

HOWEVER, I received my first tub of Martin de Candre last week… hit it with a squeezed-out badger brush and it absolutely explodes into a luxurious lather within seconds. Apply it to my beard, then add just a small splash of water to the brush and… wow. The slickness is incredible, and it leaves my skin feeling beautifully hydrated.

So, for me, Martin de Candre is now the GOAT.
