Not really, it was slick, but lacked protection. The lather disappeared before I finished my left cheek.

It was ok,just an experiment..

I used Pears soap to wash and break in my boar brush. It produced a surprising amount of lather, a lot more than I expected. It looked quite good but I didn't try and shave with it.

I agree.. Builds a nice lather,I could easily just use this and be happy,but my other 80+ soaps would complain about it..
