@Nord Razors you might enjoy Eufros Rosa Oud- that fills my bathroom with a gentle scent - but it is very expensive.
Funny enough, before Freyja I had to use only unscented soaps to avoid skin irritation. But now, I don’t mind anymoreand can enjoy anything out there. Perhaps that’s the reason why I’m after strong scents – I want to catch up on all the unscented shaves!Keep in mind that artisans don't want to risk irritations, so they have all now tame down the use of fragrance oils.
Looks like it’s almost impossible to get one. Where do you get it from?@Nord Razors you might enjoy Eufros Rosa Oud- that fills my bathroom with a gentle scent - but it is very expensive.

Sorry to interrupt.Yesterday, it was time for the Watchman from Zingari Man.
The scent is great, but not as powerful as I wish it to be – still, much stronger than the majority of soaps out there. Even though I felt like there was not enough slickness during the shave, the protection was there.
It seems like the Sego base leaves this specific protection film on the skin which lasts for hours after the shave. I always shave after a shower in the evening, and this morning, 12 hours post–shave, I still felt the protection film and I loved the feeling.

It's great to hear I was not hallucinatingSorry to interrupt.
Sego base is famous for the post shave feeling, in the levels of Grooming Department older formulas.
It doesn't have this crazy slickness, it's almost buttery with good enough lather. Is it expensive? Yes it is. Is it one the best soaps? No.
On the other hand her vegan base is excellent. Crazy density of the lather and much slicker. The post shave is a bit below Sego.
Let me enter again. On Sunday I went for Noble Otter Orbit. I'm glad I don't read reviews of soaps before buying them, because I wouldn't have gotten it if I had known it has this cooling effect – I don't like anything that is "menthol." But this one, what a wonderful feeling! Just fantastic, and I really cannot wait to use it during hot summer days.

Yesterday, I chose Hags Isla Muerta. It smells great, but the scent is too weak for me, and the performance is not as good as I would have expected it to be. It costs as much as Stirling soaps, but Stirling provides excellent performance. I’m not disappointed with Hags, but I was definitely hoping for more.

Dear Dr Randy,Let me enter again.
HAGS soaps are wonderful, but both bases (Hathor & this one Osiris) are kind of finicky to handle because of the texture in my opinion.
Before I proceed, I would like a photo of the soap puck to check. Then I will explain.

Hmmm just as expected. The texture of the soap is this sneaky one like mine had (SeaBeast). It has created an invisible layer on top that doesn't let you load soap properly, that's why you can't get a good lather.
Will do that and report back, thank you!Hmmm just as expected. The texture of the soap is this sneaky one like mine had (SeaBeast). It has created an invisible layer on top that doesn't let you load soap properly, that's why you can't get a good lather.
My suggestion: 1 minute blooming and attack the puck with a bit wetter brush. Load as you wish, but add VERY slowly the water to the lather you build. When you do that several times I would like a photo from the brush with the final lather.
HAGS soaps are not perfect but far from mediocre. Let's see what you can do.
Blooming should be with hot water. Will do that and report back, thank you!
