Semogue, or Zenith BEST BOAR?

So, what did you buy in the end @DesertIguana?

I want to add a new boar brush to my rotation. I currently have the Omega Jade, but it's still shedding even after eight shaves. Zenith brushes are on my radar now. I've owned three different Semogue SOCs, so I know those really well, but I’ve only ever had one Zenith brush, the one I mentioned earlier in this thread. Do you have any recommendations on which Zenith model I should consider?

p.s. I face lather only, so I don't really like huge lofts.

@Bauhaus If tarrifs arent too much of an issue, it sounds like you need a DS Cosmetics plisoft boar brush. The brushes are really good quality... ready to use - even for face lathering - out of the box, and doesn't smell or shed. I love mine. They have 22, 24 and 26mm options in a few handle designs.

Also ask @chazt since he’s the one to gifted me a 506. It’s the finest natural brush I’ve ever used.

Well, I didn't even know a DS Cosmetics makes boar brushes. I have their Manchurian badger, and it's a gorgeous brush, especially for that price they ask.

There is such a thing as a mixed boar and badger that not many makers seem to produce. I have presently a “mixed midget “ that boxes above its weight.

The Semogue SOC Mistura is already on its way to me. But I want a classic boar as well.

@fly3k I own the Omega Jade, but for now, I don't really understand and am not impressed.

Heavy or……….. what????
Stout meaning heavy and the knot was very dense. I have so many brushes and frankly, just didn’t want to break it in so I PIFfed it to a friend. He loves it. The knot has opened up and the tips are splitting.

As to your second sentence; “DEo…” Huh? Really? Dumb? Listen, I have replied to and answered your questions in your many threads about gear and vendors with nary a response, and have even in the recent past, more than once, offered you the opportunity to experience some of my brushes, gratis. Also with no reply.

I’m guessing that’s just your attempt at humor. Enjoy your shaves.
Don't bother Charlie 🙄
