The cream is one of the love-it-or-hate it ones, and I love it, especially when its lather is toned down by a few drops of the rose absolute. For some reason the razor/blade combination was extraordinarily smooth today. And the citrus-fougère Tuscany aftershave is always wonderful.

I decided to use one of my favorite shaving lineups today. The C-M4on Brush has plenty of backbone and it makes a great lather. I am still trying to bury the Satsuma by using it every time I headshave, but I still have a number of sbaves left before I can play taps with my harmonica.
The Friodur is wickedly sharp. It is my 6th shave with it since I honed it in June '20. After just one pass, I had a BBS- shave. This razor had a field day mowing my 41 hr growth. Two passes gave me a BBS shave, but I did get a weep near the corner of my left mouth. For some reason, that's where I normally get a weep. Lol! Also, I did get some slight irritation on my lower right neck. The alum and the witch hazel quieted it down
Did feel the alum a bit. Splashed on the glorious juice to end this nice shave. Have a super day gentlemen!

Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia

Razor: Tatara Masamune

Blade: Astra SP

Post: Alum, Barts balm sample.

The Masamune is just fantastic, smooth and efficient every time, manoeuvrable and light to handle, I just can’t find a fault. Maybe a little more aggression would help but I’ll try it with a sharper blade and think that will help increase it that way. The soap is amazing I’ve yet to find a Stirling soap I do t love and the Campania is an amazing mix of citrus, fig and cedar. Genuinely reminds me of being in my Fathers region of Italy.
Anyway a fabulous shave all round and the Barts sample complemented the soap well.
