Broke out my 1905 Gillette Old Type Single Ring which shaves pretty well for a 114 yr old girl! She breezed through a very comfortable three pass DFS floating on a cushion of MWF. That initial cold water rinse sets the stage for that first pass! This silver plated beauty sang her way through the whisker reduction on my face and dome leaving me feeling clean, smooth and refreshed. All in all a delightful way to begin this 28th day of Decadent December.

PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap

So I took my battered, Gillette New SC for a spin; with it's lightweight, hollow handle, fading gold wash and base plate and top cap with not much more than a hint of its original plating, it looked every bit it's 70 odd years of age, but what a well judged, smooth, agile and efficient shaver it turned out to be
. Looks can indeed be deceiving.

Post/After-shave: Cocoa Butter and thick night cream mix

Third shave of a Gillette Wilkinson blade with Gillette Tech Razor, works very well for me, a mild to medium blade in a medium razor.
Enjoying shaving with the KOS Gel which I have mixed with some grated Palmolive stick, produces a close and comfortable shave when stirred up with the brush.
