For me the injector blade has always been superior to any DE blade in terms of effectiveness and longevity. I think it was @chazt who first mentioned there were RBSR's which allowed the use of an injector blade. For this reason, I was immediately curious.

He had ordered one such holder that unfortunately and no fault of his own did not pan out. The Cool Cut 9 did work out for me to be a holder which would allow me to use an injector blade even though conventional blade holes do not provide a snug fit and the Personna Mini Blades must be employed. In fact, the history of his holder may have connections to Personna. Seems like I remember reading something to that effect.

I’d been eyeing the folder on Maggard’s website for a very long time and bought it when AC Fever set in. Sadly, like @Twelvefret mentioned, the piece that I received had a defect internally and the blade wouldn’t seat properly. I wasted quite a few blades and sliced my thumb pretty badly in the process. Brad sent me a video of himself loading a blade but the internal mechanism’s defect was beyond my control. He refunded my money, so no harm done other than a bloody thumb that healed without stitches.

I have so many injector blades that I will definitely try this. Smart money says place it by the far end of the blade (toe?), not the close end (heel?), correct? That seems more intuitively appropriate.

Like I explained to @chazt , the Sanguine could be an inexpensive way to have a straight razor experience using a quality blade like the AC type.

Yup, smart money is on the money, my friend. And the heel of the blade is still useable because it's not covered or hidden.

Yes, correct. That’s the one when you look at the spine cross eyed the blade slides out. Sadly, it’s just a worthless prop.
