I’m very sorry for your loss, Charlie. A warm hug and I hope you have people around you to talk to and share your grief and sadness. Somehow, in all the profound distress, it may have been a comfort for her having you there, and with her knowing that she was loved and cared for.

My Dear Friends,

It has been a week, now. And exactly four years since Gayle’s diagnosis. I thought I’d feel some comfort in marking the passing of time, but,,,, no… My family and I are devastated but functioning despite the pain. We will continue to move forward.

Your words and expressions of sympathy and condolences have touched me. It’s comforting to know that there are kind hearted people who want nothing but to share a dollop of comfort and a cyber shoulder. I appreciate all of you. Thank you.

So terribly sorry for your loss. I wish your wife a deep and everlasting peace and hope that you can find solace with your friends and loved ones.
I'm sure all the members of this shaving community are with you should you need anything, myself included. Look after yourself my friend.

Dear ATG Friends,

Some of you are aware of my wife’s health issues. Gayle was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer four years ago (almost to the day, Feb. 4, 2020). We survived the pandemic, but sadly in the last few months her status declined, and in the last two weeks her downward spiral was simply mind blowing.

Gayle passed away yesterday morning at 3:45am. I was alone with her, and held her hand as she took her last breaths. She’s no longer being tortured, abused and ravaged by the disease and its treatments. She is finally at peace.

I will check in here periodically, but may not be around much for the next few weeks.

Thank you to those of you who’ve offered your cyber support all this time.

Enjoy your shaves, and I’ll see you soon.

Charlie ☮
Keep strong Charlie, my condolences

Dear Friends,

Your words of support are so very appreciated. Thank you for caring.
Tomorrow will be a month. The first two weeks were just horrendous. Numb and dazed. Week three, things felt as though I had lived the previous 41 years in a dream. Nothing was real. Now, week four, I cry less every day and am able to function well enough to fit in with the rest of the world.
Thank you ♥
