They definitely x-ray incoming and outgoing international mail... I guess that's how they catch illegal weapons etc. I was reprimanded for daring to send a bottle of aftershave to Belgium once... I had gone to great lengths to disguise the contents, no liquid could be heard sloshing etc but they still caught it.
I'd bet they will open the mail if they think it is a straight razor they see in the X-Ray. Once they open it, they should see it has no blade and pass it through. I would not count on that happening though as it is doubtful they know the difference between the two.

Yeah, most people look at me like I'm from another planet when I tell them that I usually don't use electric shavers or carts, on the pretty rare occasion that the topic comes up.

Just seen our postie. We have had no letter post this week, there is no indication as to when we will. Apparently the depot has piles of undelivered mail. They are only delivering parcels. Due to a lack of staff mostly, time the managers got off their fat behinds and got out there delivering.

There’s probably a union embargo against that. At least I’d be very surprised if there isn’t.
We were the last shift on before a scheduled maintenance shutdown. All production was to cease before the end of our shift, but it didn't. We were asked to stay over but refused the overtime as it is voluntary not mandatory. The outside contractors were already on site to begin maintenance work so the shift foremen and shift supervisors took over driving our forklifts. On return to work after the maintenance shut down the construction workers said they were treated to a real show as the managers tried to keep up with production in our absence. Moral of the story is that you may not want the managers doing deliveries.

Letter deliveries six days a week on verge of being axed, unions hint
The Communication Workers Union leaders have suggested they will back reforms to the universal service obligation (USO), which legally guarantees deliveries six days a week.
LOL ! Well on our round they are breaking the legally binding USO ! Our postie confirmed a couple of weeks ago on a Friday that no letter delivery had taken place all week and all they were doing for our round was parcels.

Similar situation here, three deliveries a week. Regular posties have disappeared, a new person every day.
