Returnee From Oregon

Recently retired and returned to wet shaving a couple months ago, after many decades of using those plastic cartridges. On retirement income now, with more time than money (finally), I reconsidered wet shaving first as a way to save a little money. But am now enjoying the adventure a lot. My perception, which may not be correct, is that blades are a lot better than they were 50 years ago. I sure wish I had kept my Gillette 195, and Super Adjustable.

I'm finding it a lot like fly fishing - it's the journey and not the destination.

@Falcon50 - I'm in a very similar boat, just having taken up DE shaving again after several decades. I'm not quite t retirement age, but when I work from home, I have an extra hour when I'm not sitting on a bus, so a shave is possible. As fas as comparing shaving to fly fishing... well, let's just say that wet shaving is far less frustrating! :D
