Recommended pre shave oils

Hi

I used to hate pre shave oils, but I have been quite impressed with the BBA shave oil I was given to try. Its now running out and I don't really want to pay the price for BBA oil (£24). As such I was just wondering what people would recommend?

I don't use it regularly, just when I can't shower/bath before a shave, but I think I would like some more.

Thanks

Razorock Pre Barba is super stuff, it's not an oil so doesn't clog up the brush or sink but still provides a nice lubricating layer prior to lathering. I got mine from Italian Barber. Worth a look.

Murdock when on offer, you can get a big bottle for around £7 delivered from memory. Stirling pre shave oil is quite good too but prefer Murdock.

Sounds good! Was this from Murdock themselves? If so I'll wait for a sale.... But I may be waiting until black friday! Lol.

Not a fan of pre shave oils personally, but I did really like Edwin Jagger pre shave cream/lotion. Nice minty zing to it and made my skin feel really good and seemed to add a bit of slickness too. It's normally under a tenner if you shop around. Also a little goes a long way.
If you're after an oil though I noticed recently that P&B have some..never tried it though so ...
Finally, there's the DIY option.. Good Luck!

In the link about preshave comparative I see that the Floid oil gave some irritations. Personally I'm not a big fan of preshave oils but when I've used Floid a few times I had no irritations and it resulted into a pretty good shave. Of course this depends on the type of skin and the ingredients each one is more sensitive to but if it doesn't give you irritations I think it's a pretty good choice. I'd say a very good one but I've only tried a couple of preshave oils so I can't compare it to many products. However, this thread makes me want to try more @%@#$%@#!!:D
