It's the "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" technique. He moves them out the door as quickly as possible. I watched a video of a guy sharpening scissors in the U.K., he used that same type of spinning hone. I've seen a few of those wheels used on YouTube too, but mainly on razors. Has anyone gotten a comfortable shave off of a "factory" edge before?
I rarely buy new production straight razors. A few years ago, I bought a brand new Boker which surprised the hell out of me by being shave ready out of the box. Nice comfortable shave.
